DAISY, a German Shepherd, saved her owner’s three-year-old son, David, who had wandered into a busy intersection. Daisy pulled the child to safety, as two motorists who were watching the dog and the child in the intersection collided.


MUFFIN, a part-Pekingese, owned by Blake Storey, alerted Blakes grandmother, Hazel Cairns, of a barn fire. Because of Muffin’s action, 20 horses, several pigs, goats and rabbits were rescued before two barns burned to the ground.


 NAPOLEON, a Siamese cat fought, scratched, and even resorted to biting, to awaken Marjorie St. Amour when her electric blanket and mattress smoldered into flames early one morning.
